Virtues of Ramadan
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic year, which is called the month of mercy, forgiveness and deliverance from hell. This is the blessed month in which countless blessings of Allah are revealed and the reward of good deeds is multiplied many times. In this month, the Holy Quran was revealed, which is a source of guidance and welfare for humanity.
Virtues of Ramadan in the light of Quran and Hadith
Allah Ta'ala said in the Holy Qur'an:
The city of Ramadan in which the Qur'an was revealed as guidance to people and evidence of guidance and separation.
(Al-Baqarah: 185)
"Ramadan is the month in which the Qur'an was revealed, which is a guidance for the people and contains arguments that distinguish between truth and falsehood."
On the authority of Hazrat Abu Hurairah, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
"When Ramadan comes, the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are imprisoned." (Sahih Bukhari, 1899)
Important prayers of Ramadan
1. Fasting
Fasting is the main practice of Ramadan, which is obligatory on every adult and healthy Muslim. The purpose of fasting is not only to avoid hunger and thirst but to promote piety and piety.
2. Taraweeh
Taraweeh prayer has a special importance in Ramadan. This is a form of Qiayam al-Lail in which the Holy Quran is recited.
3. Lailatul Qadr
One night in the last ten nights of Ramadan is called Lailtul Qadr, which is better than a thousand months. The worship done in this night leads to immense reward and reward.
4. Zakat and charity
Ramadan is the best month for charity and charity. Prophet ﷺ used to be most generous in this month.
